Information Technology /IT/ Department is responsible for defining information technology related policy of the Bank of Mongolia and establishing advanced technologies. IT Department provides a reliable IT infrastructure, develops rules and recommendations within the aim of reducing IT related risks in the banking system.
Following are key aspects of IT department’s functions:
- Define long-term IT related strategy and developing recommendations, standards and requirements;
- Define IT policy and its direction, administer its implementation;
- Identify emerging technologies to meet the organization’s changing needs, developing and maintaining customized special computer programs, providing professional training;
- Maintain and support a reliable, secure and stable network environment, computer hardware system; protect the confidentiality, integrity and safety of the electronic data
