The “World Savings Day 2025” Campaign Concludes

In October 2025, the Bank of Mongolia, the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Mongolia, the General Agency for Education, the Mongolian Bankers Association and commercial banks jointly organized the “World Savings Day 2025” campaign, continuing their annual tradition.

Held under the slogan “Build Your Dreams Through Saving”, this year’s campaign featured extensive training sessions and outreach activities aimed at promoting saving habits among the public. These activities were carried out not only in the capital city but also across the country.

Every year on October 31, countries around the world celebrate World Savings Day.  In Mongolia, the entire month of October is designated as Savings Awareness Month, during which a wide range of educational and promotional activities are organized nationwide.

The closing ceremony of this year’s campaign was held on October 31, 2025, in Darkhan city. At the event, the Governor of the Bank of Mongolia and representatives of partner organizations highlighted the importance of savings, organized a knowledge contest for students, and presented certificates to financial literacy trainers.

As of September 2025, total deposits in Mongolia reached MNT 28.5 trillion, marking an increase of around 110 percent compared to the same period in 2019. This growth strengthens the country’s economic resilience, expands funding sources in the banking sector, and contributes to greater credit availability and lower interest rates.
