The Financial Stability Council held a meeting

The regular meeting of the Financial Stability Council for the first quarter was held at the Bank of Mongolia meeting hall on March 17, 2020, and the following issues were discussed regarding the measures to be taken in the financial system.

  • Proposals for measures to be taken by the Bank of Mongolia in the banking sector;
  • Regarding the measures implemented in the direction of monitoring and regulating the activities of non-financial business and professional service providers or real estate brokerage firms, traders of precious metals, precious stones or articles made from them;
  • Report on the measures implemented in preparing for the transition to new payment system;
  • Regarding the measures to be taken to reduce the negative impact of the Covid-19 on the financial sector.

With Governor of the Bank of Mongolia B.Lkhagvasuren as the Chair, the meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Ch.Khurelbaatar, Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Commission D.Bayarsaikhan, Executive Director of the Deposit Insurance Corporation Kh.Bum-Erdene, and other officials.
