The Bank of Mongolia Acquired 2.8 tons of Precious Metals in October

In October 2025, the Bank of Mongolia purchased 2,829.0 kg of precious metals, bringing the total amount acquired since the beginning of the year to 12.7 tons. Of this total, the Bank of Mongolia’s Darkhan-Uul branch purchased 722.6 kg, while the Bayankhongor branch acquired 1,532.9 kg of precious metals. This represents a 10.3 percent decrease compared with the same period of the previous year.

The Bank of Mongolia determines the purchase price of precious metals based on prevailing global market prices. In October 2025, the average purchase price of gold in was MNT 466,946.14 per gram.
