Bank of Mongolia Hosts SEACEN Banking Supervision Directors’ Meeting in Ulaanbaatar

The Bank of Mongolia, in collaboration with the South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) and the Financial Stability Institute (FSI) of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), is hosting the Banking Supervision Directors’ Conference and Meeting in Ulaanbaatar.

The 28th SEACEN–FSI Conference of Directors of Banking Supervision and the 39th SEACEN Directors of Banking Supervision Meeting are gathering around 40 delegates from 19 central banks and relevant institutions across the Asia-Pacific region. Participants are exchanging views on banking supervision, financial stability, risk management, emerging international regulatory trends, and regional cooperation.

These high-level meetings serve as a key platform for strengthening cooperation among banking supervisory authorities, sharing best practices, and enhancing mutual learning. This is particularly crucial as institutions navigate global financial market shifts, digital transformation, technological innovation, and climate-related risks.

The Bank of Mongolia places great importance on expanding cooperation with international central banks and financial institutions on strengthening financial stability, regulatory frameworks, and supervisory capacity. Hosting this high-level events in Mongolia reflects the growing scope of the central bank’s international partnerships and significantly enhances the reputation and role of Mongolia’s financial sector at both regional and global levels.
