Governor of the Bank of Mongolia Holds Meeting with Executives of South Korea’s Kakao Bank

Governor of the Bank of Mongolia Narantsogt Sanjaa met with Daniel Yun, Founder and CEO of South Korea’s leading digital bank, Kakao Bank, along with senior executives of the bank. Kakao Bank representatives outlined their plans for potential investment and cooperation with MBank, Mongolia’s first digital bank, and discussed opportunities to introduce South Korea’s digital banking solutions to the Mongolian market.
At the meeting, Governor Narantsogt Sanjaa reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to supporting the introduction of advanced financial services and technologies into the Mongolian market, alongside efforts to strengthen the legal and regulatory framework. The parties also exchanged views on economic developments, financial sector digitalization, payment systems, and trends in artificial intelligence and financial technology.
