"Research Conference" was held in honor of the Financial Information Unit

FIU organized a second “Academic Research Conference” for students within working plan of the Research and Analysis Working Group of the Cooperation Council on May 17, 2023.

This year, out of 28 works submitted by students from 6 Mongolian universities, 14 works were selected for the final discussion. Compared to the first research conference, this year's conference was characterized by the fact that it covered more universities and the scope of the topic was wider.

The judges included representatives from the Financial Information Unit, the Research and Statistics Department of the Bank of Mongolia, the Training and Research Institute under the Prosecutor General's Office of Mongolia, the Financial Regulatory Commission, the General Intelligence Agency, and the Crime Suppressing Department of the National Police Agency.

The board of judges consisted of representatives of the FIU, the Research and Statistics Department of the Bank of Mongolia, the Training and Research Institute under the Prosecutor General's Office of Mongolia, the Financial Regulatory Commission, the General Intelligence Agency, and the Criminal Police Department of the National Police Agency.

G. Otgonjargal, N. Javkhlan. (National University of Mongolia) – “Legal framework to combat money laundering and issues faced during criminal proceedings”
